« Quality in question »

My 75 year old Aunt had me order these cartridges for her wireless HP Officejet. We put them in place on August 2 ,2010. Last week when we went to make a black and white copy of a document it showed the color cartridges almost empty. We have only printed 5 items and one had a little color. The Officejet is indicating that we need to refill the all 3 color cartridges again. NOt very happy about this.

« Totally off page counts »

I use color to print photos and only an occasional color text documents. I'm even careful about selecting black&white printing for webpages. Even with all my vigilance, the 920XL series is providing an acceptable number of printed pages. The 920s are rated at 700 "pages" and I'm not getting even 50 photos out of a set of color cartridges. In one month, I have printed no more than 10 8x10s and 30 5x7s, yet I'm getting a low cartridge warning for both the cyan and yellow cartridges. The magenta is only slightly better. It's hard to believe that HP would purposely mislead it's customers, yet the difference between 700 and 100 sheets is enormous, even when considering the saturation of photos. I'm also using Premium HP paper that is reportedly designed for their ink. This ink cartridge thing is certainly an HP bamboozle.

« Great Quality »

I found this ink to have great print quality. I have only been using it in my printer for less than a month so I can't speak at this point to the duration. Based on my experience so far and the stated number of pages each cartridge will print vs the non XL I will order this product again.

Great product, great price. Actual HP product, not expired like some of the other discounted inks. Shipping time was average.

« Good product, service, but lousy value »

I purchased this product with my printer and they delivered good product promptly. Today I was going to re-order but thought I'd check the price elsewhere. I'm glad I did. Buying the same 4 cartridges directly from hp is almost exactly half the price and they give free next-day delivery too.

Of course prices change all the time, but I suggest you shop before buying.
